ARCHITECTURE
Architects are designing more and more complex structures every day. This puts a heavy pressure on companies responsible for building exterior, which is well known to be one of the most important features in assessing building quality. The more complex the geometry the higher the implementation costs, yet there is an increasing demand for a lower budget and a tighter schedule. With Echometrics 3D laser scanning services and in-house softwares, we reduce total project costs while at the same time provide a simplistic approach to handling complex facades.
Exterior and Interior Cladding
In order to achieve a required aesthetic and engineering standard; the design, fabrication, and installation of facades heavily rely on as-built site conditions. Through 3D scanning and modeling techniques, we ensure that building cladding is installed to the ideal standard, with little rework.
Modeling from As-Built
3D scans of irregular HSS beams are made to document as-built conditions of a complex structure. A sub system is customized to fit onto the HSS, and full cladding geometry is modeled with all components and no clashes.

PROJECT COST

Illustration of Project Cost over Time
TIME
On typical construction projects, rework accounts for around 10% of the cost of construction. Project costs increase at a greater rate the further along a mistake is found in the process. Fixing a mistake which costs $X before fabrication may cost $X^2 (squared) after it has arrived to site.
Echometrics services start at the very beginning of the curve. Scanning and modeling in this phase of the project gives us the ability to catch conflicts before they happen. This makes for less site fixes and caps the project costs very early on in the non-linear cost curve.
